Course Overview

The skills and knowledge acquired in the Certificate of Introductory Occupational Health and Safety are sufficient to be able to competently follow workplace safety procedures and contribute to occupational health and safety in the workplace.

This course will allow graduates to make a valuable contribution to making the workplace safer for themselves and others employed by the organisation. Even though accidents and emergencies do occur in the workplace, they are rare when proper OHS procedures are followed. The Certificate of Introductory Occupational Health and Safety will help individuals understand their role in OHS and how they can contribute to safety in the workplace.

Course Duration

12 month enrolment period, with extensions available. As a guide, certificate courses can be completed within 5-10 weeks. Students can complete their course more quickly or at a more leisurely pace depending on work and other commitments.
